Welcome
to Holden Beach The Town of Holden Beach, North Carolina is a special place to live and visit. This web page has been designed for everyone who has an interest in our Town, and we work hard to keep it current with informative news and information. In the winter, we are home to around 1000 people. In the midst of the summer visitor season, we grow to over 15,000 a day on the island. People come to Holden Beach from all over the world to experience our unique "south-facing" island with 8.5 miles of clean sand beach oceanfront. We have a very small commercial district in and around our town, and that's one attraction that keeps many coming back again and again -- to relax in a family atmosphere without all the "commercial glitz" and traffic jams seen elsewhere. Wildlife is everywhere on Holden Beach. Pelicans overhead, sand crabs under foot, sea turtles nesting in the summer, schools of fish offshore, and egrets walking slowly in quiet marsh areas on the island. If you love and treasure a wonderful and natural environment, this is the place to be. Please browse around our Website. If the information you seek is not included, or if you would like additional information about the Town of Holden Beach, send email to our Town Manager you will receive a reply. Oh yes, we'd love to have you attend any of our monthly meetings and speak out with your views about how we're doing. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. Again, welcome to Holden Beach! |
